Heidi M. Torvik

Heidi M. Torvik has been practicing law in Minnesota since 2014, and is also licensed in North Dakota (2017), Wisconsin (2022), U.S. District Court - District of Minnesota (2015), and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims (2022). She graduated from The Juilliard School in New York with a Bachelor of Music (1999), Master of Music (2001), and Artist Diploma (2003) in flute performance. After a career as a professional flutist and teacher, Heidi graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School in 2014.

Heidi has significant experience with all stages of litigation from initial meeting through jury trial on both sides of the aisle. She has expertise counseling those claims surrounding medical malpractice, motor vehicle accidents, products liability, wrongful death, and dram shop. She has extensive experience with trust and estate disputes, as well as commercial and real estate litigation. Heidi has argued cases in district court at both state and federal level, as well as on behalf of her clients at the Minnesota Court of Appeals.

Heidi is recognized in The Best Lawyers in America Ones to Watch for her work in Insurance Law and Professional Malpractice Law. Heidi has been recognized as a Minnesota Super Lawyer - Rising Star in Personal Injury from 2021 - 2024. Heidi is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, 12th District Bar Association, and Philanthropic Education Organization. She also serves as a local district ethics investigator.

Heidi currently resides in Montevideo, Minnesota with her two cats: Sophie and Wolfie. Outside of the office, Heidi enjoys playing flute at local judicial, legal, and community events, downhill skiing, playing tennis, and exploring local restaurants.
